A Place for Every Kid to Learn, Play & Belong
At Vessel Church, we want Sunday mornings to be something your whole family looks forward to. Building Blocks is our children’s ministry for kids ages 6 months through 8th grade, providing a safe, welcoming, and age-appropriate environment where kids can have fun, build friendships, and experience church in a way designed just for them. While parents enjoy worship, the message, and fellowship, our trained Building Blocks volunteers are ready to care for your kids!

Your First Sunday at Building Blocks
Before your child attends Building Blocks, we'll ask you to complete a quick family registration.
Click to Register and select “Register a New Family.”
We'll ask for some basic information, including:
-
Your child's information
-
Parent/guardian and emergency contact information
-
Allergies and important medical alerts
-
Any special needs or accommodations that would help us care for your child
Once your family is registered, you'll receive a unique 4–6 digit Family PIN. Keep this number handy! You'll use the same PIN to digitally check your children into Building Blocks each Sunday.

What Does Building Blocks Look Like on a Sunday?

Cradle Roll | Infants & Toddlers
Our littlest attenders have a space of their own! Cradle Roll provides loving childcare for infants and toddlers in a safe, comfortable environment.
Throughout the morning, our volunteers care for your little ones while incorporating songs, play, and age-appropriate activities. Our goal is simple: to create a space where little ones feel safe and loved while their parents enjoy service.
Building Blocks | Elementary
Church should be fun for kids, too!
Our elementary Building Blocks class helps make the Bible approachable, exciting, and easy for kids to understand. Each Sunday includes a combination of:
-
Fun, themed Bible lessons
-
Singing and worship
-
Crafts and hands-on activities
-
Snacks
-
Games and free play
-
Time to build friendships
We want children to discover that learning about God isn't something they have to wait until they're older to enjoy. Biblical truth can become meaningful to them right now!

Youth | Middle School
Middle schoolers get the best of both worlds.
Our youth students check in before service and stay with their families for worship. When worship ends, they're dismissed to our Youth Lounge, where they can hang out with other students, play Nintendo Switch, relax, and build friendships while their parents enjoy the sermon.
It's a low-pressure environment designed to give middle school students a place where they can connect and feel like they belong at church.

Safety Comes First
We know that leaving your child in someone else's care requires trust. That's why safety is one of the highest priorities of Building Blocks.
Our Building Blocks volunteers go through an extensive background check and interview process before serving with our children.
We also maintain important safeguards throughout every Sunday:
-
Children are never left alone with a single volunteer.
-
Only individuals approved by the child's parent or guardian may pick them up.
-
Digital check-in and check-out help us keep track of every child in our care.
-
Allergies, medical alerts, and accommodation needs are collected during registration.
-
Our team follows established safety procedures throughout the service.
We want you to be able to enjoy church knowing your children are being cared for by people who take their safety seriously.

Building Blocks Additional Information:
Supporting Children With Special Needs
We want to provide a safe and supportive Building Blocks experience for children with additional needs whenever we are equipped to do so.
Our policy is to provide a special-education-trained volunteer to support children who require additional accommodations or individualized assistance. Sharing your child's needs during registration allows our team to prepare ahead of time and determine how we can best support them.
Because your child's safety comes first, participation is dependent on having the appropriate trained volunteers and resources available that Sunday. If we are unable to safely provide the accommodations your child needs, we may need to ask that they remain with their parent or guardian during that service.
We encourage families to register in advance so our team has as much time as possible to prepare.

A Space for Moms & Babies
Need a quiet moment with your little one? Just outside our Cradle Roll infant classroom, you'll find our Mother & Baby Room—a comfortable, private space available for nursing moms and their babies throughout Sunday service.
Whether you need to breastfeed, change a diaper, soothe your baby, or simply step away for a quiet moment together, you're welcome to use the room whenever you need it.
We know attending church with a baby can come with a lot of moving pieces, so we want you to feel comfortable caring for your little one at your own pace.

After Service: Take Your Time!
When service ends, there's no need to rush out of the room to pick up your kids.
We provide a 15-minute fellowship window after service so parents can say hello, meet someone new, grab a cup of coffee, or catch up with friends while their children continue enjoying Building Blocks.
During that time, we recommend using your Family PIN to digitally sign your children out. This helps make pickup quick and organized once the countdown clock chimes.
At the end of the 15-minute window, head to Building Blocks and our team will release your child to an approved parent or guardian.
